o I am getting a sense of what works and what doesn't work in designing spaces like this, and also how community structure and energy goes through different phases. + We are learning about frameworks to support virtual work -- elements that help guide, and structure the conversations, such as:
announcements
facilitation
clarification of purpose
explicit guidelines about the intention for each type of activity
role of weaver
creating harvests as a way to synthesize and leverage learnings
different communication practices and their affects on communication
how the shape of the software shapes the container for the field
the usefulness of careful design and "intention" while at the same time leaving the space open for surprise and emergence of new insights
+ Discovering that many of the same design principles are at work in this medium as in the face to face strategic conversation work I do has opened a whole new set of vistas which I find delicious as I contemplate my own visions of meaning and wholeness at work in years to come.
